Las formas no personales del verbo (FNPV) en el periódico Vanguardia / The non-finite forms of verbs published in Vanguardia newspaper

Resumen

La presente investigación caracteriza el uso de las Formas no personales del verbo (FNPV) en las notas informativas de portada y contraportada del periódico Vanguardia durante el segundo semestre del año 2016. De las 109 notas informativas publicadas en 26 periódicos, el 55 por ciento de los verbos constituyen FNPV, lo que perjudica la claridad y concisión en el relato, características puntuales que deben primar en las notas informativas. En ello juega un papel determinante que los periodistas no trabajen en la redacción de los materiales regidos por una Carta de estilo.

This paper treats the use of non-finite forms of verbs in front and back page news reports, published in Vanguardia, the provincial newspaper of Villa Clara province in central Cuba during the second semester of 2016. The 55 % of verbs used in 109 news reports published in 26 issues were non-finite forms of verbs which affects the clarity and conciseness of the account, the most significant features that should predominate in a news report. The determining factor of this situation was that journalists didn’t use a style manual when writing reports.
