Contribuciones de la tradición marx-engelsiana a la comprensión de las relaciones entre sentido y discurso en la investigación social / Contributions of the Marx-Engelsian tradition to the understanding of the relations between meaning and discourse in social research

Abstract

A partir de la diversidad posible de los discursos sobre acontecimientos y procesos sociales, ¿cómo se haría posible a la investigación científica el estudio de sus sentidos sin caer en determinismos subjetivistas o economicistas? En busca de responder a esa pregunta, este texto se dedica a la explotación de recursos conceptuales de la tradición marx-engelsiana de pensamiento, tomando como eje su elaboración del término ideología. Toma así la forma de un estudio de revisión teórica. Al final, sugiere que, reconocida la naturaleza coyuntural de todo sentido, por un lado, y la universalidad social del fenómeno ideológico, por otro, la investigación social debe mantenerse atenta, simultáneamente, a sus expresiones como discurso y práctica.

From the possible diversity of discourses on social events and processes, how would scientific research make the study of its senses possible without falling into subjectivist or economistic determinisms? In search of answering that question, this text is dedicated to the exploitation of conceptual resources of the Marxian-Engelsian tradition of thought, taking as an axis its elaboration of the term ideology. This takes the form of a theoretical review study. In the end, it suggests that, recognizing the conjunctural nature of all meaning, on the one hand, and the social universality of the ideological phenomenon, on the other, social research should be kept attentive, simultaneously, to its expressions as discourse and practice.
